Vivian Mae Rutledge Harding

Vivian Mae Rutledge Harding, age 80, went home to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Wednesday April 24, 2013 at NHC in Murfreesboro.

Mrs. Harding was a native of Warren County and had lived most of her life in Murfreesboro. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Murray Steven Harding; parents, Thomas Rutledge, and Callie Beatrice Blaylock Rutledge; brothers, David, Harve, Burton, Willie, Eldridge, and Aaron Rutledge.

Mrs. Harding was retired form Cummings Sign Company in 1978 to take care of her grandchildren. She adored wife, mother, and grandmother. Her grandkids called her Grandma, but the great grand’s simply referred to her as “Ma”. She was a dedicated related challenge in the past several years, but her faith remained strong. She never failed to give praise and honor to her Lord, who kept her close until He was ready to call her home.

Mrs. Harding is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Murray Harding; son David Harding and wife Sheri; daughters, Shelia Harding Sutton and husband Vaughan, Teresa Harding all of Murfreesboro;  grandsons, Nathan Harding and wife Amy of Murfreesboro,, Jeff Harding of Athens, GA.; granddaughter, MacKenzie Sutton of Murfreesboro; two great-grandsons, Nolan and Samuel Harding of Murfreesboro; brother, Kenneth Rutledge and wife Janice of Cleveland, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Ken Polk will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00PM to 8:00PM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel 615-893-5151 www.woodfinchapel.com
