Virginia S. Gannon, age 85, of Murfreesboro, passed away at Middle Tennessee Medical Center on December 28, 2009. She was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County. She retired from the State of Tennessee and she was a member of the Baptist Church.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Clyde Gannon, parents; Sol and Ida Pearl Fleming Hill, brothers; John and Thomas Hill and sisters; Elizabeth Wells and Lucille Pitts. She is survived by her brother, Grady Hill of Murfreesboro, Edward Hill of Murfreesboro and James Hill of Smyrna, sisters; Maggie Mae Burns of Nashville, Ruby Lorance of Murfreesboro and Pauline Boyd of Brentwood; and several nieces and nephews.
Chapel Service for Virginia will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Rev. Jim Powers officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home, 820 S. Church St., Murfreesboro, TN 37130. (615) 893-2422 www.jenningsandayers.com |
