John and Virginia Barrett

Virginia Dale Adamson Barrett, age 82, of Murfreesboro, died Dec. 29, 2012, at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County, Tenn. Virginia was a member of Vine Baptist Church and a homemaker.
 
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Annie Louise Handley Adamson; husband, John Edmund Barrett; and brother, Elmer Adamson.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Joan Barrett, of Murfreesboro; three grandchildren Kevin L. Barrett, Nina Sherrill and Nori Reeser, all of Murfreesboro; and six great-grandchildren Whitney Barrett, Ben Barrett, Bailee Sherrill, Adrienne Sherrill, Anelle Sherrill and Brooks Reeser.
 
Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, Jan. 5, 2012, from 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home, located at 820 South Church St. in Murfreesboro.

Chapel service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Pastors Kevin Barrett, Jimmy Barrett and Rickey Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
