Two men robbed seven people enjoying a hot tub late Friday night at The Woods at Greenland on Greenland Drive, Murfreesboro Police reported.

Then, the robbers tried to carjack a vehicle driven by a woman but she eluded them by driving away, Officer Marja Atchley reported.

Officer Bob Sirising reported victims were in the hot tub about 10:50 p.m. when a man wearing dark clothes and a black mask pointed a black handgun and demanded, “Where’s the money?”

The robber picked up victim Francisco Gallego’s pants and his Nike backpack containing blue jeans, a wallet, $21 cash, men’s boxer shorts, a Visa debit card, driver’s license and MTSU identification.

He was accompanied by another black man wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a black mask.

Detective John Singleton processed the crime scene for evidence and interviewed the victims.

Moments later, the suspects carrying handguns approached a woman driving with her mother in a red Neon in the parking lot and tried to open the locked doors. They were unable to gain entry. She drove away as they fled.

People with information about the robbery may call Singleton at 893-2717 or Crime Stoppers at 893-STOP between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
