I thought Veteran's Day was to recognise ALL veterans of the United States military and not necessarily the ones who gave their lives in service to this country. Many veterans lived thru their experiences. There has been many instances where the living veterans are still suffering from their service--physically and mentally. How many did not serve in combat zones. Remember the dead and forget everybody else?
NO!
A great big THANK YOU to all veterans--living and dead!

Thank you shotgun, I agree with you on recognizing ALL Veterans. That is what November 11th is now supposed to be for, recognizing all military veterans past and present. It used to be Armistist Day to remember the end of WW I when the armistist was signed in the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. Since then Congress changed the name to Veterans Day to honor all U.S Military Veterans. I wear my USAF ball cap proudly.
