Vesta Elizabeth Hass, age 93, of Murfreesboro, passed away on June 17, 2012 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. She was a native of South Pittsburg but lived most of her life in Murfreesboro. Elizabeth was a member of the Church of God and a homemaker.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Loura Hickey Moore; husband, Joseph R. Hass; sons, Daniel Hass and David Hass; brothers, Charlie Moore, Robert Moore and Wesley Bershears; sisters, Frances Head, Margaret VanAllman, Ellen McCrary, and Lurana Bookout; and great-grandson, Spencer Morell. She is survived by her son, Bobby Hass of Murfreesboro; one grandchild, Kristy Hass Edwards; two great-grandchildren, Andrew Morell and Delaney Morell; and a special niece, Judy Massengale.
A chapel service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home with Lloyd Walraven officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as active pallbearers.
