Veola Davis, age 75, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Harvey, Illinois, fell asleep in death on Thursday, September 6, 2012. A native of Hazelhurst, Mississippi she was preceded in death by her husband Samuel L. Davis and by her parents Ora Lee and Ulysses Tillman.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 2:30 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Brother Tommy Vaughter will officiate. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to memorial service.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Lydia Davis of Smyrna, Tennessee; brother and sister-in-law, Samuel and Jean Tillman of Chicago, Illinois; her sister, Ora Beatrice Flemister of Detroit, Michigan; and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Davis was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She retired from Yates Services in Smyrna, Tennessee.
