Vandy's Rites of Spring announces artists for 2011 fest | Nashville, Rites of Spring,Vanderbilt, The National, Public Enemy

Brooklyn-based rock group, The National, will return to the midstate for Rites of Spring in April.
The Rites of Spring Music Festival has announced the initial lineup for this year’s festival.

Taking place on the lawn of the Vanderbilt University campus, the dates have been confirmed for April 15 -16 with a lineup that combines a blend of hip-hop along with new rock acts.

Longstanding rap group, Public Enemy will be in full force with over 20 years of experience in the game and an arsenal of vocal attacks from charismatic personalities Chuck D and Flavor Flav.

The National will be in attendance as well along with Matt & Kim, Kid Cudi, Sara Bareilles and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes.

Tickets will go on sale Thursday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. at all Ticketmaster locations.
