Employees at Northfield Elementary found an unpleasant surprise waiting for them Wednesday morning: vandalism.

School secretary Diana Primm found “several ‘doughnut’ shaped tire tracks” in an open area near the one of the school’s playgrounds, according to a Murfreesboro Police Department report on the incident.

Primm said other employee had found broken beer bottles on the school’s property earlier this week.

MPD has increased patrols in the area to discourage more vandalism.
