Vandals strike Blackman High

Vandalism at Blackman High School over the weekend caused more than $10,000 in damage.

Murfreesboro Police responded to the vandalism call around 9 o’clock Sunday morning. The damage probably occured Saturday night.

The vandals had broken windows and extensive damage to the walls and ceiling of the press box at the baseball field, spray painted vulgar words on multiple buildings using school colors, and even damaged a control board used with the football stadium speakers.

The school’s SRO will review surveillance footage of the schools campus.

Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 893-7867 (STOP) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
