US Marshalls capture fugitive from RCSO

A fugitive who ran from Metro Nashville Police last year and rammed a squad car was captured Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Metro Nashville Police and the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office. 

Dwalyn L. Bryant, who was using the name Asad Salik, was arrested at 268 North Anderson Lane, Hendersonville this morning.

U.S. Marshals began seeking out Bryant yesterday when they received information he may be in the Nashville area. Bryant was wanted by Metro Police, Virginia Beach Police (Virginia), the State of Tennessee and the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.

He was wanted by Metro Nashville Police for Sale of a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, Possession of a Weapon by a Felon with the Intent to Go Armed, Reckless Endangerment with a Vehicle, Evading Arrest, and Failure to be Booked. He was wanted by Virginia Beach Police for Violation of Probation, original charge Carjacking. He was also wanted by the State of Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole for Parole Violation out of Rutherford County, original charge Robbery.

Bryant was living with a woman in Hendersonville. He was taken to the Metro Jail pending a parole hearing and extradition to Virginia.

The  U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Nashville is composed of the following agencies: Dickson County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Metro Nashville Police Department, Overton County Sheriff’s Office, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, White County Sheriff’s Office, Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, Maury County Sheriff’s Office, Giles County Sheriff’s Office, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and the U.S. Marshals Service.
