Two men indicted for murder on Searcy Street

Two men were indicted for first-degree murder and four counts of felony murder of a Murfreesboro man Dec. 10 at his Searcy Street home.

Defendants Jonathan Alajemba of Forrest Pointe and Bobby Jewell Wilson, 18, of Lascassas Pike, were charged with premeditated murder of victim Tommie Deshaun Moss, 34. Also, they were charged with felony murder for a murder while in the commission of robbery, assault and burglary.

Grand jurors also indicted them for conspiracy to commit especially aggravated robbery, attempted especially aggravated robbery, six counts of aggravated assault and aggravated burglary.

In the conspiracy charge, Murfreesboro Police Detective Paul Mongold accused Jewell and Alajemba and another man of meeting at a restaurant, then driving to Moss’ home armed with two handguns in an attempt to rob him, the indictment stated.

They were charged with shooting victims Kaitlyn Kennedy, David Thompson and Jeff Fogle, who were at Moss’ home.

In another case, defendant Cesar A.M. Hernandez, 28, of Wellington Place, was indicted for attempted first-degree murder of Murfreesboro Police Officer Brandon Benge.

Murfreesboro Detective John R. Singleton reported Hernandez attempted to run over Benge June 13 on Harrison Drive.
In another case, grand jurors indicted Thomas D. Clinton, 41, of Beech Grove, with attempted murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault of victim Candy Curry.

Sheriff’s Deputy Matt Mosely accused Clinton of kidnapping Curry May 23 and driving her to Cobb Road where he wrecked the vehicle that caught on fire. Clinton asked Curry, “Are you ready to die?”

She crawled out a window, away from the fire, the deputy reported.

In another case, three defendants were indicted for beating and binding two suspects during a home invasion the night of May 7.

Patrick Borum, 21, of Shores Road, Amber M. Seyl, 18, of Bell Buckle and Beau Estes, 24, of Norman Drive, were indicted on charges of especially aggravated robbery, three counts of especially aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary and aggravated assault.

They were accused of robbing victim David Flinn III of Lilly Lane of $3,600 and beating Flinn and his roommate Stanley Wise before binding them with duct tape, Murfreesboro Police Detective Garry Templeton reported.

In another robbery, defendant Danny D. Holmes, 20, of Bridge Avenue was charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and possession of marijuana.

Murfreesboro Detective Abe Vongprakdy accused Holmes of robbing victim Omar Garcia-Shell at gunpoint May 2, demanded jewelry, his watch and wallet and threatened to shoot him.

Another indictment charged defendant Jeffrey Lee Sanford, 18, of Kent Street with three counts of aggravated robbery.

Murfreesboro Police Officer Chris Pitts charged Sanford with robbing three people at Style America May 6 on Kent Street.

In another case, defendant Regina Damian of Smyrna was accused of attacking her husband, John, with a sword.

Officer Chris Durham reported the husband suffered a large gash wound to his left arm and a scratch on his side during the April 21 attack.

In a sexual offense, defendant Jason B. Holt, 19, of Villa Street was charged with three counts of rape of a child and one count of aggravated sexual battery.

Murfreesboro Detective Tommy Roberts accused Holt of raping and fondling a 10-year-old girl in February.

In an assault case, defendant Mell Malone, 61, of Nandina Court was indicted for reckless endangerment and aggravated assault of neighbor James Kerce.

Murfreesboro Police Officer Tim Jensen accused Malone of pointing a handgun at Kerce and threatening to shoot him because Kerce mowed his side yard.

In another assault case, defendants Edward Michael Osborne, 23, of Antioch and Ada Newsom, 31, of Smyrna were indicted for aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, theft and vandalism.

Smyrna Police Detective Robert Monroe accused Osborne and Newsom of beating victim Cynthia Saulters with his fists and a handgun.

Defendants indicted during the August term will receive copies of their indictments Monday from a Circuit Court judge on the fourth floor of the Judicial Building. They were among 107 cases indicted this month.

Robert Preston Baucom, driving while declared motor vehicle offender.

Joseph Travis Brown, felony possession of Schedule II controlled substance, aggravated burglary, theft, DUI.

Michael James Brown, auto burglary, theft.

Timothy L. Brown, DUI (two counts).

Martin Bryant, domestic assault.

Barbara Burgess, DUI (second offense).

Blake A. Chapman, felonious possession of marijuana.

Thomas Clayton Coleman, aggravated burglary, theft.

Christie Michelle Cook, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment.

Eddie R. Eady, DUI (second offense).

Christopher Ferrell, fraudulent use of a credit card, robbery.

Gabriel Fleurier, DUI (second offense).

Charles Edward Gooch, possession of a legend drug without a prescription, felony possession of Schedule III drugs, felonious possession of cocaine.

Kendric R. Greene, felonious possession of cocaine.

Jerry Ray Hall, burglary, theft.

Jack Hancock, domestic assault, criminal trespass, aggravated criminal trespass.

Elizabeth Hartman, domestic assault.

Juan Hernandez, DUI (second offense).

Herber Sarve Hernandez-Salazar, theft of identity.

Christopher B. Howse, aggravated burglary, theft.

Anthony Jackson, aggravated burglary, aggravated assault.

John F. Jordan, criminal simulation.

Bobby Gene Madding, stalking.

Antwain Mason, burglary to auto, forgery, vandalism.

Darren M. McDermott, sex offender violation.

Terry D. McElyea, theft.

Robert McJunkin, theft, carrying weapon while under the influence, possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of a weapon, aggravated assault.

Juan F. Menjivar, felonious possession of over 10 pounds of marijuana.

Marta N. Menjivar, felonious possession of over 10 pounds of marijuana.

Jordan A. Ostrander, felonious possession of marijuana and sale of marijuana.

Melvin L. Peacock, felonious possession of cocaine, felony possession of Schedule III drugs, possession of a weapon in the commission of a felony, possession of a weapon by a felon, tampering with evidence.

Thomas R. Perry, DUI, evading arrest with auto, false report, theft of identity.

Daniel Porter, DUI.

Paul Lee Pressley, criminal impersonation, evading arrest with auto.

Elmer M. Price, felonious possession of cocaine, felony possession of Schedule III drugs, possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony.

Xem Sithovong, aggravated assault (three counts), possession of a prohibited weapon.

Tiandre M. Sneed, possession of drugs for resale, retaliation for past action.

Kyle A. Sternquist, felonious possession of marijuana, sale of marijuana.

Charone Reco Swader, domestic assault.

Anthony Taylor, violation of protective order (two counts), telephone harassment, stalking.

Delmiccio C. Tigg, aggravated assault, domestic assault.

The TV news said crime was at an all time low! you would never know it here.

Its no big deal. According to JG13 these crimes are "minuscule".
