Two defendants were indicted for killing two men and wounding a third man June 29 on Parkview Terrace.
Victims Land C. Vongsaphay, 32, of Antioch and Kousonh Luangrath, 36, of Riverdale, Ga., died from injuries suffered in the shooting. Third victim
Bounsouang Bangphaxay, 34, of Blue Ribbon Trail in Christiana survived the shooting.
Defendants Sisavanh Keomongkout, 19, of 1938 Stoney Meadow Drive and Lakky Phosy, 30, of 1908 Sterling St. were indicted on charges of two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of felony murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault and use of a weapon during a felony. Keomongkout was additionally charged with tampering with evidence.
In another case, suspects Roger W. Battle, 27, and of Nashville and Gary Chapman, 29, no address available, were charged with attempted murder of shooting victims Kevin Green and Farrunti Newman Jan. 1 on Castleview Court, Murfreesboro Detective James Abbott reported.
Another set of indictments charged Albert J. Griggs, Paul Griggs and William Griggs with rape of a child. Also, Paul Griggs was charged with criminal responsibility, aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, failure to report.
In an unrelated case, Nickolus Minnick was charged with six counts of rape of a child under age 13 and six counts of aggravated sexual battery.
In another case, James Atkisson was accused of rape of a child and reckless endangerment of a boy less than 13 years old.
They were among 218 cases before the grand jury during its December session. Defendants will receive copies of their indictments at 9 a.m. Monday from Circuit Court Judge Don Ash on the fourth floor of the Judicial Building.
