Aggravated domestic violence charges were filed this week against two suspects accused of assaulting people they date, Murfreesboro Police reported.

Victim Victoria Higgins, 18, of North Rutherford Boulevard accused ex-boyfriend Todd Greenway Jr. of assaulting her for the past four months, Officer Anthony Skok reported.

She accused Greenway of knocking her down, getting on her back and cutting her hair Sept. 11, Skok reported. Greenway allegedly hit her several times with a steel ball the same day.

The former girlfriend accused Greenway of punching, slapping and strangling her in the past.

“Higgins states she wants away from Mr. Greenway Jr. before he kills her,” Skok reported.

Skok charged Greenway and booked him into Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. A hearing is set Nov. 5 in General Sessions Court.

In an unrelated case, Officer Matt Manor reported girlfriend Ivy Scales, 21, of Horncastle Drive was charged Wednesday with aggravated assault of her boyfriend, Chadwick Hathaway of Rosecrans Street in La Vergne.

Scales and Hathaway were apparently arguing about their children when she grabbed a knife, the officer reported. She found Hathaway outside in his car.

“She stated that they argued for a minute and she was so upset she punctured his tire, leaving it flat,” Manor reported.

A witness told Manor that Scales threatened to kill Hathaway.

She was booked into Rutherford County Adult Detention Center where a hearing was set Oct. 8 in General Sessions Court.

In a separate case, Officer Finess Brown reported charges are pending in a third domestic fight where victim Ashley J. Davis of East Northfield Boulevard reported her boyfriend attacked her during an argument Tuesday at her home.

She was able to get away from him at first but while she tried to run out of the house, she said he threw hot cooking oil at her.

Davis opened the door and demanded the boyfriend leave, the officer reported. She accused him of punching her in the stomach with his fist. When she tried to get help from neighbors, she reported her boyfriend pulled her hair and dragged her back into her home.

She suffered visible injuries to her upper and lower lip, back and right leg, Brown reported.

Davis was treated for her injuries at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
