If you’re feeling adventurous this Saturday, swing by Judge Bean’s in Lascassas for the fourth annual Testicle Festival.

“It’s just a fun name for a festival, but we do offer rooster fries, lamb fries and calf fries for people to try,” said Aubrey Bean, owner of the Texas-style barbeque restaurant.

And the fries he’s talking about don’t come from a potato. They’re the unmentionable parts of the male of the species.

Bean does assure regular menu items will be available for those who don’t want to try a fry.

Beside the odd foods, a full slate of performers will grace the festival, including Murfreesboro’s own Chris Young and Nashville’s Richie McDonald, formerly of the band Lonestar.

The festival starts at 1 o’clock Saturday afternoon with live music all day.

Tickets are $10 for an all day pass to the event at 6605 Lascassas Hwy.
