It has been only five months since TrustPoint Hospital opened, but the health care facility has already added 16 additional beds to its inpatient behavioral health program and the staff has expanded to more than 150 employees.

The 76-bed facility continues to grow and is adding two new psychiatrists as part of its goal to provide exceptional and accessible inpatient acute physical rehabilitation and behavioral health services for Rutherford County and the surrounding areas.

Dr. Ravi Singh, medical director of ClearPath Behavioral Health Services at TrustPoint Hospital, said he is looking forward to the addition of more doctors.

“I am pleased to welcome these new team members," he said. "They will be an asset by helping us care for individuals when they are facing a mental health crisis and need to be in the hospital. We are all committed to serving our community and making it possible for people to get the help they need without having to travel far from home and further away from their loved ones”.

Dr. Joseph M. Sharpe has been a private practicing psychiatrist in Nashville for more than 10 years. He graduated from the University of Tennessee-Memphis medical school in 1999 and then continued his training in psychiatry at Duke University.

Dr. Jon Draud came to Nashville in 1991 to complete his residency at Vanderbilt University in psychiatry.

He earned a master’s degree in pharmacology and his medical degree from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, College of Medicine.

He provides therapy and medication management for a wide variety of problems including depression, anxiety or fears, addiction, chronic pain or illness, suicidal ideation, attention deficit disorder, dual diagnosis, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma and post traumatic stress disorder, as well as bipolar disorder.
