Trio of Blue Raiders earn C-USA all-league honors

MTSU seniors Zac Curtis and Trent Miller, and junior Jared Allen were named to the First Team All-Conference USA baseball squad on Tuesday.

Curtis had a masterful regular season in his final year, going 8-3 with a 1.85 ERA. His ERA is under 1.00 in league play. He allowed just 77 hits in 107 innings, and struck out a school-record 130 batters. Curtis also leads the nation in strikeouts.

Miller, a first baseman, leads the Blue Raiders in hitting at .356 and doubles with 25. Allen, an outfielder, is batting .288 with a league-best 11 home runs.

MTSU faces Old Dominion Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the first round of the C-USA tourney. The Blue Raiders (30-25, 17-13) are the No. 4 seed.
