Trick-or-Treating on Murfreesboro's historic Square is no longer a secret.
Some 2,500 youngsters participated last year as downtown businesses stayed open later to hand out candy to area trick-or-treaters.
On Friday, Oct. 30, come participate in the eighth annual Trick-or-Treat on the Square from 3 to 6 p.m.
Just look for the orange pumpkin sign to see who is participating.
Kathy Oxley and cousin Amanda Mullins of Mullins Jewelers came up with the idea as a safe alternative for children and a way for their parents to check out downtown Murfreesboro in 2001. Now, 8 years later it is a tradition lots of little ones look forward to every year.

Being new to Murfreesboro, this was our 1st time to take our grdchildren to this festivity. We had a ball. Everyone was so nice & saw some really cute "damsels" & goblins. Thanks to everyone on the square for their hospitality
