Beginning this weekend, residents are invited to go under the sea as the Arts Center of Cannon County joins Ariel (Rachel Nichols), a young mermaid who longs to leave her ocean home for the world above, in "The Little Mermaid Jr."
But first, she will have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that she is the girl with the enchanting voice.
This production runs Friday, Feb. 8, through Sunday, Feb. 17, and will feature a double cast of more than 40 young actors representing communities from throughout Middle Tennessee.
The performance schedule for all shows is Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.

The Arts Center is located at 1424 John Bragg Highway, just west of the town of Woodbury.
