Traffic Update: Stones River bridge on South Church reduce to one lane this weekend

Manson Pike/Fortress Boulevard Realignment Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Contractor will be installing final striping work on the new section of Fortress Boulevard, John Rice Boulevard and Manson Pike. There will be lane minor closures and traffic interruptions

Maney Avenue Street Improvement Project (between Southeast Broad and College streets)
Expected Road Closures:  Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Road construction work continues along Maney Avenue between E Castle St and E Vine Street. On Monday, between 9 a.m. and noon, the traffic signal at Vine Street and Maney Avenue will be put on flash mode. Traffic will be reduced to one lane and controlled by flagman. Access drives to the local residents and businesses will be kept open at all times. Motorists are advised to use Highland Ave and Academy Street traveling north/south and State Street and Main Street traveling east/west.

Lytle Creek Sewer Replacement Project (Intersection of Hickerson Drive and West Castle Street)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday - Thursday: South Walnut from West Castle to the dead end section will be paved and open to traffic. Final surfacing will be done later. Detour signs will be in-place. Work has begun on both sides of South Church Street near Lytle Creek. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.

AT&T Fiber Optic Project (North Academy, East College and North Church streets)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: The contractor for AT&T will be installing underground fiber optic cables along North Academy, East College and North Church streets. There will be minor lane closures. All work will be done off-street with minor interruptions at driveway entrances and exits.

Veterans Parkway (New section between Barfield,Kimbro and Barfield Crescent roads)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: The contractor will be installing storm drain across Barfield Road at the intersection of Kimbro Road. Clearing and grubbing work continues off the street between Barfield Road and Barfield Crescent Road. There will be lane closures at the intersection of Barfield Road and Kimbro Road. The traffic on Barfield Road will be controlled by stop signs. There will be flagman during the day managing the traffic. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.

Sewer Improvement Project (Front Street between Main and Broad streets)
Expected Road Closures: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Sewer improvement work will be performed on Front Street between Main and Broad streets. There will be partial road closure and traffic interruptions on Front Street. Access to local businesses will be kept open. Road will be closed to through traffic. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

MTSU Phase 3 Project (Intersection of Greenland Drive at Wiles Court)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: There will be partial lane closures on Greenland Drive at Wiles Court. The contractor will be installing underground utilities. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions

TDOT Re-Paving Project (Old Fort Parkway between Cason Lane and Northwest Broad Street)

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Wednesday, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.: The contractor for TDOT will be installing traffic signal loops on Old Fort Parkway between Cason Lane and Northwest Broad Street. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. All loop installation work will be done at night.

TDOT Re-Paving Project (South Church Street between Indian Park Drive and Broad Street)

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Wednesday, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.: The contractor for TDOT will be milling the roadway surface on South Church Street between Indian Park Drive and Broad Street. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. All work will be done at night. Saturday, Oct. 8, 6 a.m. thru Monday, Oct. 10, 5 a.m. The Stones River Bridge on South Church Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction for concrete repairs.

Annual City Street Paving Project
Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.: City milling and paving crews will working on the following subdivisions: Expect lane shifts and traffic interruptions during these operations.

Windsor Green Subdivision
Regal Subdivision
Butler Drive
