Traffic Update: Red-light camera intersections to see work | City,Traffic

Update: Existing Red Light Camera Locations
 
Old Fort Parkway and Chaffin Place
S Church Street and Broad Street
S Church Street and Middle Tennessee Boulevard
 
Expected Lane Closures:  Wednesday & Thursday, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.:  The contractor for Murfreesboro Police Department will be re-installing sensors in the pavement at the above intersections. There will be lane closures or traffic interruptions during the installation work. All work will be done at night.

Maney Avenue Street Improvement Project (between SE Broad Street and College Street)
Expected Road Closures: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Road construction work continues along Maney Avenue between E Castle and E Vine streets. The intersection of Maney Avenue and Vine Street will be closed Monday through Dec. 15 for utility construction work. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place. Access drives to the local residents and businesses will be kept open at all times. Motorists are advised to use Highland Avenue and Academy Street traveling north/south and State Street and Main Street traveling east/west.
 
Lytle Creek Sewer Replacement Project (Woodmore Drive between Glaze Court and Kirkwood Avenue)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday - Wednesday:  9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The contractor will be laying sewer pipe at the intersection of Woodmore Drive and Kirkwood Avenue. Kirkwood Avenue will be closed between Middle Tennessee Boulevard and Tremont Drive. Traffic will be detoured onto Houston Drive and Tremont Drive. Driveway access to local residents will be kept open at all times.
 
Veterans Parkway (New section between Barfield Road/Kimbro Road and Barfield Crescent Road)
Expected Lane Closures: Mid-Week, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

The contractor will be shifting traffic on Barfield Crescent Road to the south side near Lone Oak Drive. There will be lane shift signs and appropriate pavements markings. The construction of the bridge over Stones River continues.
 
MTSU Phase 3 Project (Intersection of Greenland Drive at Wiles Court)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be minor lane closures on Greenland Drive at Wiles Court. Traffic signal and roadway work continues at the intersection. There will be minor traffic interruptions. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.
 
Atmos Project (Vine Street between University and Maney avenues)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The contractor for Atmos will be installing gas lines along Vine Street between University Avenue and Academy St. There will be partial lane closures and traffic interruptions on Vine Street.
 
Lytle Street Sewer Construction Project (Lytle Street between Church Street and Maple Street)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday - Friday,  7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Weather permitting, the contractor for the Water and Sewer Department will be laying sanitary sewer pipe on Lytle Street between Church Street and Maple Street. Lytle Street will be closed between Church Street and Maple Street. Traffic will be detoured onto Burton Street and College Street. Northbound and Southbound traffic on Church Street and Maple Street will not be affected. Driveway access to local businesses will be kept open at all times.

Annual City Street Paving Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

City paving crews will working on the following subdivisions: 

Pebble Creek subdivision
Woods Edge subdivision
BlackFox subdivision

Expect lane shifts and traffic interruptions during these operations.
