Intersection of Fortress Blvd and Blaze Drive

Expected Traffic Signal Out and Traffic Interruptions:   The traffic signal at the intersection of Fortress Blvd and Blaze Drive will be out Wednesday, July 14 between 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for traffic signal modification work.  The work entails relocating the signal pole on the NW corner of the intersection.  Traffic will be controlled by a police officer and the signal will be put back up in full operation at 6:00 pm.

New Salem Highway at Bridge Avenue and Memorial Blvd at Broadmor Blvd
 
Expected Minor Traffic Interruptions:    Monday, July 12 through Wednesday, July 14: Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will be finishing up the handicap ramps and curb work at New Salem Highway & Bridge Avenue and Memorial Blvd & Broadmor Blvd.  There will be lane minor traffic interruptions at these intersections.

Leaf Avenue Storm Drain Improvement Project
 
All remaining work is on Leaf Avenue
 
State Street Sewer Replacement Project
 
State Street (the section between Highland Avenue and Maney Avenue)
 
Expected Road Closures:    For the next two months, mid June through mid August:  The road will be closed to through traffic for sewer replacement work.  The roadway will be kept opened to local traffic and residents at all times.
 
Saint Andrews Drive Resurfacing Project (between Weybridge Dr and the joint at Middle Tennessee Electric facility)
 
Expected Minor Traffic Interruptions:    Monday, July 12 through Wednesday, July 14, 9 AM – 4 PM:  There will be minor traffic interruptions on Saint Andrews Drive for final striping operations.
 
Manson Pike/Fortress Blvd Realignment Project

No Lane Closures:   The realignment work so far has not affected traffic lanes on Fortress Blvd.  Work entails relocating the intersection of Manson Pike and Fortress Blvd further south along Fortress Blvd and re-aligning Gresham Lane to tie-in with the new intersection. Construction began 6 months ago. No changes in traffic control

Fortress Blvd Widening Project (Between Blaze Drive and the new Manson/Fortress Intersection)

Expected Lane Closures   The traffic has been reduced to two lanes (one lane each direction) on Fortress Blvd between Blaze Drive and Chippewa Place.  The work entails the widening Fortress Blvd from a three lane curb and gutter street to a five lane curb and gutter street with bike lanes and sidewalks.  Work also includes adding a right turn lane of Blaze Drive adjacent to the elementary school.  Construction began mid last month. No changes in traffic control

Cason Lane (between Old Fort Parkway and Amber Glen Drive)
 
Expected Lane Closures:    The contractor for the Streets Department will continue lowering the valve boxes and manholes on Cason Lane in preparation for milling and paving operation, Monday, July 12 thru Wednesday, July 14 between 9am to 4pm:  There will be lane shifts and traffic interruptions on Cason Lane.  On Thursday, July 15 and Friday, July 16 (bet 9am to 4pm), the contractor will be milling the roadway.  Expect lane shifts and delays during the milling operation.
