Traffic Update: New Salem project completed



Saint Andrews Drive (between New Salem Highway and Kimbro Wood Subdivision)
Expected Lane Closures:   Tuesday, July 20 through Wednesday, July 21, 9 AM – 4 PM:  There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions on Saint Andrews Drive for paving and striping operations.

Armstrong Valley Road (between New Salem Highway and City Limits)
Expected Lane Closures:   Wednesday, July 21 through Thursday, July 22, 9 AM – 4 PM:  There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions on Armstrong Valley Road (between New Salem Highway and ¾ mile south of Veterans Pkwy) for paving and striping operations

New Salem Highway at Bridge Avenue and Memorial Blvd at Broadmor Blvd.
Project Completed.
 
Leaf Avenue Storm Drain Improvement Project
All remaining work is on Leaf Avenue
 
State Street Sewer Replacement Project
State Street (the section between Highland Avenue and Maney Avenue)
 
Expected Road Closures:    For the next two months, mid June through mid August:  The road will be closed to through traffic for sewer replacement work.  The roadway will be kept opened to local traffic and residents at all times.
 
Saint Andrews Drive Resurfacing Project (between Weybridge Dr and the joint at Middle Tennessee Electric facility)
Project Completed.

Manson Pike/Fortress Blvd Realignment Project
No Lane Closures:   The realignment work so far has not affected traffic lanes on Fortress Blvd.  Work entails relocating the intersection of Manson Pike and Fortress Blvd further south along Fortress Blvd and re-aligning Gresham Lane to tie-in with the new intersection. Construction began 6 months ago. No changes in traffic control

Fortress Blvd Widening Project (Between Blaze Drive and the new Manson/Fortress Intersection)
Expected Lane Closures   The traffic has been reduced to two lanes (one lane each direction) on Fortress Blvd between Blaze Drive and Chippewa Place.  The work entails the widening Fortress Blvd from a three lane curb and gutter street to a five lane curb and gutter street with bike lanes and sidewalks.  Work also includes adding a right turn lane of Blaze Drive adjacent to the elementary school.  Construction began mid last month. No changes in traffic control

Cason Lane (between Old Fort Parkway and Amber Glen Drive)
Expected Lane Closures:    The contractor for the Streets Department will continue milling, Monday, July 19 thru Friday, July 23 between 9am to 4pm:  There will be lane shifts and traffic interruptions on Cason Lane.  Our traffic signal contractor will be also re-installing signal loops on Cason lane at Old Fort Pkwy, River Rock Blvd, Rideout Lane and Cason Trail.  Expect lane shifts and delays during the signal loop re-cutting operation.
