Manson Pike/Fortress Blvd Realignment Project Expected No Lane Closures: Traffic has been shifted onto the newly built section of Manson Pike near the bridge at Overall Creek to Fortress Blvd. Gresham Lane is closed at Medical Center Parkway and traffic to and from Medical Center Parkway is shifted to the new Gresham Lane connector road from Fortress Blvd. Traffic control signs are in-place. Work continues, no lane closures
Fortress Blvd Widening Project (Between Blaze Drive and the new Manson/Fortress Intersection)
Expected No Lane Closures: The traffic has been reduced to two lanes (one lane each direction) on Fortress Blvd between Blaze Drive and Chippewa Place. The work entails the widening Fortress Blvd from a three lane curb and gutter street to a five lane curb and gutter street with bike lanes and sidewalks. Work also includes adding a right turn lane of Blaze Drive adjacent to the elementary school. Work continues, no lane closures
Obrien Drive Sewer Construction Project (Between Bradyville Pike and Winston Place)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9AM – 3:30 PM: Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department will continue replacing the sewer main and services along Obrien Drive between Rutherford St and Winston for the next four to five weeks. There will be lane shifts and road closures on Obrien Drive. Detours signs and appropriate traffic controls will be in-place. The road will be opened to local traffic only and the property owners on Obrien Drive have been notified. Work continues, no major changes.
Haynes Drive Safety Improvement Project (between Sulphur Springs and Regency Park Drive)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Wednesday, 9 AM to 3 PM: Final striping and incidental paving work will be done on Haynes Drive between Memorial Blvd and Wiltshire Drive. Expect lane minor lane closures and traffic interruptions.
CCTV Monitoring System Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 3 PM: The contractor for the CCTV expansion project will be installing overhead fiber optic cable on Old Fort Pkwy between Veterans Pkwy & Cason Lane and Memorial Blvd between Northfield Blvd and Thompson Lane. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions.
Maney Avenue Street Improvement Project (between SE Broad Street and College Street) Expected No Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:00 PM: Contractor will begin working on offsite drainage improvements just north of Maney Avenue. There will be no lane closures on SE Broad Street or Maney Avenue.
Annual City Street Paving Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Thursday, 9 AM – 4 PM: The contractor will be striping Highland Avenue between Clark Blvd and Main Street. Expect lane closures and traffic interruptions. Other Local Projects Parkway Plaza Project (NW corner of Medical Center Parkway and Thompson Lane) Expected Lane Closures: Monday and Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM: Contractor for this new development will be adding a right turn lane on Medical Center Parkway just west of Thompson Lane. Traffic will be reduced to one lane for the westbound traffic on Medical Center Parkway for a short distance on the west side on Thompson Lane. There will be appropriate traffic controls in-place. Lascassas Pike (north of Northfield Blvd/Rutherford Blvd) Expected No Lane Closures: Thursday, 9 AM to 2:00 PM: Contractor for Emerald Place Development will be milling and paving the street connection at the entrance to Lascassas Pike. There will be minor traffic interruptions on Lascassas Pike. |
