Maney Avenue Street Improvement Project (between SE Broad Street and College Street)

Expected Road Closures: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Road construction work continues along Maney Avenue between East Vine Street and East Main Street. There will be utility construction work on East Main Street at Maney Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.. Traffic on East Main Street will be reduced to one lane through this intersection. Access drives to the local residents and businesses will be kept open at all times. Motorists are advised to use Highland Avenue and Academy Street travelling north/south and State Street and Main Street traveling east-west. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.

Veterans Parkway (New section between Barfield Road/Kimbro Road and Barfield Crescent Road)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.: The traffic on Barfield Crescent Road has been shifted to the south side near Lone Oak Drive. Appropriate lane shift signs and pavements markings are in place. Contractor has started road work on the north side. Barfield Church Road between Barfield Crescent Road and Barfield Road will be closed to through traffic. Access to local residents on Barfield Church Road will be kept open at all times. The construction of the bridge over Stones River continues. Paving work will begin Monday on the new section of Veterans Parkway and the new bridge. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.

MTSU Phase 3 Project (Intersection of Greenland Drive at Wiles Court)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: There will be minor lane closures on Greenland Drive at Wiles Court. Traffic signal and roadway work continues intermittently at the intersection. There will be minor traffic interruptions. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.

Atmos Project (Vine Street between University and Maney avenues)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: The contractor for Atmos will be installing gas lines along Vine Street between University Avenue and Academy Street. There will be partial lane closures and traffic interruptions on Vine Street.

Traffic Signal Work (Intersection of Rutherford Boulevard and Gold Valley Drive)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Traffic signal installing work continues intermittently at this location. There will be minor traffic interruptions and partial lane closures. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

TDOT Intersection Improvement Project (Medical Center Parkway between I-24 EB Off-Ramp and Asbury Lane)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.: The contractor for TDOT will be making on-ramp improvements and striping modifications on Medical Center Parkway between I-24 east-bound ramp and Asbury Lane. There will be alternate lane closures and traffic interruptions. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times.

Consolidated Utility District (CUD) Water Line Construction Project (County Farm Road between South Church Street and Joe B Jackson)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: The contractor for CUD will be installing water lines pipes on Joe B Jackson between County Farm Road and Stevens Bend Drive. This section of roadway will be partially closed. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained on Joe B Jackson during this work. Driveway access to local residents will be kept open at all times. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.

Lytle Street Sewer Construction Project (Lytle Street between Church Street and Maple Street)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday - Friday: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.: The contractor for the Water and Sewer Department will be laying sanitary sewer pipe on Lytle Street between Church Street and Maple Street. Lytle Street will be reduced to one lane with flagging operation between Church Street and Maple Street. Motorists are advised to use Burton Street and College Street. Northbound and Southbound traffic on Church Street and Maple Street will not be affected. Driveway access to local businesses will be kept open at all times. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.

Murfreesboro Urban Environmental Department Landscaping Project (Old Fort Parkway between New Salem and Thompson Lane)

Expected NO Lane Closures: Monday - Friday: Murfreesboro Urban Environmental Department crews will be doing median landscaping work on Old Fort Parkway between New Salem Highway and Thompson Lane weather permitting. There will be no lane closures. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

MTSU Sewer Work (College Heights between East Main Street and Elrod Street)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday & Tuesday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Contractor for MTSU will be laying sewer pipe across College Heights near Elrod Street. College Heights will be partially closed between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Traffic will be detoured onto Elrod Street. Access to local residents and businesses will be kept open at all times. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Traffic Signal Maintenance Work (Intersection of Medical Center Parkway at Willowoak Trail)

Expected Lane Closures: Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Contractor for Murfreesboro Transportation Department will be a da.m.aged traffic signal pole mast arm at the intersection of Medical Center Parkway and Willowoak Trail. Willowoak Trail approach at Medical Center Parkway will be closed during this work. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Annual City Street Paving Project

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.: Expect lane shifts and traffic interruptions during these operations. City milling, paving and casting crews will be working on the following streets and subdivisions:

• Bellwood Subdivision (Houston Drive, Rushwood Drive, Bellwood Avenue, Kirkwood Avenue and Wrather Street)

• Cason Lane Subdivision (Cason Trail, Azure Way, Molly Trail, Amber Glen)
