Manson Pike/Fortress Blvd Realignment Project Expected No Lane Closures: Traffic has been shifted onto the newly built section of Manson Pike near the bridge at Overall Creek to Fortress Blvd. Gresham Lane is closed at Medical Center Parkway and traffic to and from Medical Center Parkway is shifted to the new Gresham Lane connector road from Fortress Blvd. Traffic control signs are in-place. Work continues, no lane closures
Fortress Blvd Widening Project (Between Blaze Drive and the new Manson/Fortress Intersection) Expected No Lane Closures: The traffic has been reduced to two lanes (one lane each direction) on Fortress Blvd between Blaze Drive and Puckett Creek Crossing. The work entails the widening Fortress Blvd from a three lane curb and gutter street to a five lane curb and gutter street with bike lanes and sidewalks. Work continues, no lane closures
CCTV Monitoring System Project Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM: The contractor for the CCTV expansion project will be installing fiber optic cables along Memorial Blvd between DeJarnette Lane & Thompson Lane and Old Fort Pkwy between Broad Street & Veterans Pkwy. Traffic signal crews will be installing CCTV cameras, fiber communication modules and concrete pole bases along Memorial Blvd, S. Church Street Old Fort Parkway. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.
Maney Avenue Street Improvement Project (between SE Broad Street and College Street)
Expected Road Closures: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:00 PM: The contractor will begin road construction work on Maney Avenue between Broad Street and E Castle St. Maney Avenue will be closed to through traffic along this section. Access drives to the local residents and businesses will be kept open at all times. Work continues with road closures.
Obrien Drive Sewer Construction Project (Between Bradyville Pike and Winston Place) Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9AM – 3:30 PM: Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department has begun their construction replacing the 2” water main along Wingate Street off O’Brien Drive.
South Church Street at Savannah Ridge Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:00 PM: City traffic signal contractor will be installing a new traffic signal at this location. There will be minor traffic interruptions and partial lane closures.
Cason Lane at Rideout Lane Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:00 PM: City traffic signal contractor will be installing a new traffic signal at this location. There will be minor traffic interruptions and partial lane closures.
Veterans Pkwy (between bridge east of Armstrong Valley Road and Highway 99 & between Highway 99 and Windrow Road) Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM: Paving Operation. The contractor will be paving the section of Veterans Pkwy between the new bridge east of Armstrong Valley Road and Highway 99 (Monday through Wednesday) & the section between Highway 99 and Windrow Road (Thursday through Friday). Expect delays and traffic interruptions
Lytle Creek Sewer Replacement Project (Intersection of Hickerson Drive and West Castle Street) Expected Lane Closures: Monday, 9 AM to 3:00 PM: The contractor will be potholing the existing water line at the intersection of Hickerson Drive and West Castle Street. There will be minor traffic interruptions and partial lane closures.
