| The Resource Agency (TRA) in Franklin, Tenn., recently signed an exclusive author representation agreement with Murfreesboro best-selling author Amy Parker.
Parker has written and published more than 20 books selling more than 500,000 copies—including the best-selling children’s book A Night Night Prayer—and has won numerous awards for her work.
Parker’s résumé includes more than 10 years with Thomas Nelson where she served as author, co-author, copyeditor, proofreader and editor. She has edited and written for Nelson, Zondervan, and Scholastic, with authors including Andy Andrews, Max Lucado, Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman, Naomi Judd, Sheila Walsh, Michael W. Smith and Jack Hanna.
While she is passionate about the children’s market, she also has several nonfiction manuscripts in the works and is excited about a diverse publishing future.
“I’ve known and worked with Amy for over 10 years,” commented TRA vice president Dan Lynch, “and know her to pour enthusiasm, experience, knowledge, skill, and inspiration into every book she writes. We are thrilled to be representing her.”
“When I knew it was time to grow, I wanted an agency that could think big. Combine that with the trust I’ve developed for Dan Lynch over the years, and TRA proved to be the obvious partner in growing my publishing career,” said Parker, a 1994 graduate of Watertown High School who lives in the ’Boro with her husband and two sons.
The Resource Agency has provided branding, marketing, and graphic design expertise in the faith-based market for more than 15 years. Past efforts have included work on highly successful campaigns including The Left Behind Series, NLT Bible, Joel Osteen and Bookstore Manager POS software, among others. |
