“Old Fort Parkway is the worst place to drive emergency traffic because people come to a dead stop or won’t move right out of your way,” Gray said.
Due to the traffic volume, there is often times no room to "move over". This in addition to those who are not aware of what's going on behind them. Gabbing on the cell phone has got to be a factor in this. I see daily, someone having to dodge a vehicle being driven by a "yak-yak" or worse yet a "texter".

Medical Center Parkway has no emergency lane and next year a hospital will be open. When will the road be corrected? They probably found that out during the recent tornado, since they had to close the road.

11. No serious traffic enforcement by local law enforcement agencies. MPD cracks down on loud music by announcing it a week before. Thats a joke. The sheriff's office has no traffic enforcement at all. Politics as usual.

Wrong springs our Sheriff Dept is the best is this area. I work inside the city limits but we never see a MPD patrol our area--but we see the RCSD drive bye and check on us on a regular basis.

justawalkn: Proves my point. Instead of being in the city, they should be out enforcing traffic laws in the county.
