Corn mazes are a popular family activity for kids of all ages and Rutherford and surrounding counties have a wide selection of mazes to wander.
Dating back to ancient times, mazes, and more recently corn mazes, have been amusing and educational activities for the whole family.
Young children especially can benefit by learning map reading, problem solving and teamwork by working together as a family to negotiate a maze.
The Farm at Hollow Springs, for one, offers a corn maze, pumpkin patch and hayrides in the picturesque Beech Grove countryside.
“We want to give people a chance to come out and enjoy the country and we think that our maze design will be exciting for all ages,” said Tim Tipps, co-owner of the Farm at Hollow Springs along with his wife, Lisa Trail and daughter, Laurel. “Whether you choose to join us during the daytime hours with your younger kids or after dark for a little more adventure, we’re sure you will have a great time.”
Many of the Top 10 (11, is just a bonus) corn mazes also offer other activities like pumpkins patches.
“Families are sure to enjoy the play area featuring unique farm inspired games like a hay hop, corn play and tire crawl,” Tipps said.
