Pledging to provide a high level of principled and proficient service that people can trust, local businessman Tim Tipps announces his candidacy for State Representative, 48th District.
“It is an honor for me to submit my name as a candidate for this house seat,” says Tipps. “Our district has been blessed with effective and ethical leadership for many years, which I want to continue. I have the combination of experience, integrity and passion the people of our community expect—and deserve—to have representing their interests at the State Capitol.”
Tipps is a certified general real estate appraiser. He owns and operates Appraisal Source of Tennessee in Murfreesboro. He is a ten year veteran of the Army National Guard.
A former banker, the Middle Tennessee native has a long history of community service. He is a member of Bellwood Church of Christ. Tipps is also a member of the Blue Raider Athletic Association, Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors, Tennessee Agritourism Association and a colonel and life member of the Tennessee Jaycees Volunteer Corps. The candidate has also volunteered to benefit the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Exchange Club, Boy Scouts of America and Junior Achievement, to name a few.
“From serving as church treasurer and Sunday School teacher to being a community activist and serving my country in the armed forces, my priorities have remained simple: faith, family, community,” says Tipps. “I am now asking to serve as your next State Representative for the 48th District.”
The candidate is married to Lisa Trail and has two children, Laurel, age 9, a student at Discovery School at Reeves Rogers, and Craig, age 25. Craig and his wife Danielle recently moved to Murfreesboro after completing their terms of service in the United States Air Force. Tipps also owns a small farm in Cannon County.
