Three suspects believed involved in a home invasion Monday were charged just moments after the crime was reported to the sheriff’s office, a deputy reported.
Victim Joshua Wilson of Twin Oak Drive reported someone kicked in the door of his home about 10 p.m. at his home off Old Woodbury Highway, Deputy Mark Mack reported. He described the suspects as two men in a van.
While driving to the call, Mack approached a van and stopped the suspects who matched the people who apparently broke into Wilson’s home. Wilson identified the suspects as Bobby J. Brown and Jeremy Black.
Wilson told deputies someone began beating on his door and windows before kicking in the door, Mack reported.
“Brown then entered the residence yelling and cursing at him and began going through the house,” Mack reported, adding he called for Black and Brandy M. Reed to come into the house. “Brown remained in the residence longer, going through his dresser drawers, taking two knives before leaving.”
Mack charged Brown, 25, of 7193 Hughes Road with aggravated burglary, theft, possession of a prohibited weapon and vandalism. Black, 22, and Reed, 27, both of 1325 Wenlon Drive, were charged with aggravated burglary. Hearings are set Sept. 14 in General Sessions Court.
