Three juveniles involved in serious wreck

A serious auto accident involving three juveniles was reported on I-24 east at mile marker 101 in the Beech Grove area on the Rutherford/Coffee County line Monday.

Sgt. Bill Miller with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said one person was ejected from the vehicle and a second was trapped in when police arrived on the scene Monday evening. Sgt. Miller confirmed that all three occupants of the vehicle are siblings.

All three of the juveniles who were in the vehicle were flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. One had life threatening injuries, another had what were labeled as “severe injuries” and the third had only minor injuries.
