Three suspects were charged after sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau officers recovered high-grade marijuana and about $7,000 Wednesday from their home, the SEB supervisor said.

Suspects Tyler Burke, 21, Samantha Hayes, 19, and Patrick Waites, 18, all of 10169 S. Windrow Road near Rockvale, were charged with felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for illegal drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, said Capt. Jason Mathis.

The SEB’s Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at the home where they seized the cash, about 1.5 pounds of high grade marijuana valued at about $6,000, an assault rifle and several firearms, the captain said.

“Other seizures of personal property from the residence believed to have been purchased with drug proceeds are pending at this time,” Mathis said.

The suspects were booked into Rutherford County Adult Detention Center and released on bond. Hearings are scheduled Sept. 7 in General Sessions Court.
