The Murfreesboro Optimist League Sandlot Report is compiled weekly by the Murfreesboro Optimist Baseball League. Following is a recap of games played April 21-27.

MINORS (9-10 year-olds)
Cardinals 13, Braves 4
Eric Sanders struck out 10 of the first 11 batters he faced and carried a no-hitter into the fourth inningas the Cardinals turned back the Braves. Cole Gaither’s fourth-inning double was the Braves only hit. Sanders also helped himself at the plate with a home run. Chase White had two hits, and Mathew George and Jack Jubenville added doubles for the Cardinals.

Orioles 10, Rockies 8
The Orioles put together a huge comeback, scoring seven runs in their final at-bat to secure their first win. Connor Newberg (double) and Mikhael Holman (single) had back-to-back hits in the crucial fifth. Newberg and Tyler Erdman scored two runs each for the Orioles. Guerron Marsh had a home run for the Rockies, and Blake Shultz, Ryan Greene, Zach Constantinescu and Destin Peyton had two hits each.

Mariners 7, Reds 3
Kalob Hallauer had a single and a triple, Cody Bryant tripled, Gage Stephens and John Meyers singled to lead the Mariners. Tucker Morgan, Perry Baird and Patrick Moss led the Reds.

Mariners 5, Tigers 4
Cody Bryant had two hits, including a double, and two RBI to lead the Mariners, who also had base hits from John Myers, Kalob Hallauer, and Noah Johnson. Austin Wright and Michael Polly led the Tigers.

Indians 13, Red Sox 7
Ethan Rush, Stephen Laird and Evan Smart all had doubles to lead the Indians, who also had strong performances from Caleb Ashford and Ben Adams. Gavin Wilbur doubled, while Eshan Patel, Will Taylor and Heath Hubbard each had base hits to pace the Red Sox.

Rockies 8, Reds 7
Destin Peyton, Blake Shultz and Max Tidwell had key hits to lead the Rockies. Peyton’s single in the final inning helped fuel the win after Ryan Greene, Connor Miller and Zac Constantinescu reached base. Jacob Burriss, Ien Martin, and Tucker Morgan (double) led the Reds.

Yankees 8, Royals 6
Ryan Daniels reached base and scored all three times and Jeremy Pinkard reached and scored twice to lead the Yankees, who scored three in the top of the final inning for the win. Nathan Cardell hit a home run and scored twice to power the Royals.

Astros 12, Pirates 2
Austin Harvey and Perry Bryson hit home runs, and Brandon Ricks, Joseph Bonanno scored twice to lead the Astros. Tuck Sears and Brandon Young each scored for the Pirates.

Cubs 12, Dodgers 10
Caleb Dickerson, Zachary Smith and Jordan Christmon each reached and scored twice to lead the Cubs. Brandon Moorehead and Landen Brasher had two runs each for the Cubs.

Yankees 13, Orioles 6
Nolan Melton and Landon Tracy had a hit and scored twice for the Yankees, who also had two runs from Karsten Evans, Matthew McDaniel and Nicholas Smythia.  Mikhael Holman was 2-for-2 with a double, and Tyler Erdman and Will Fitzgerald also had doubles for the Orioles.

Dodgers 12, Astros 7
Jack Baker was 2-for-2 with a double, Landon Brasher was 2-for-2 with a run scored, Chandler Wiggins added a triple and Drew Elliot and Brett Mackie each singled to help the Dodgers deal the Astros their first loss. The Astros rallied with seven in their final at-bat but it was not enough.

Twins 15, Orioles 7
Stephen Micalizzi had a double and two RBI, Mitchell Carmack doubled and Will Wheaton had a hit and reached twice for the Twins. Hudson Tate had a triple for the Orioles.

MAJORS (11-12 year-olds)
Orioles 3, Red Sox 0
Eric Hawks pitched a complete-game, no-hitter, striking out seven to lead the Orioles in a battle of unbeaten teams. Hawks was also 1-for-2 with a triple and run scored. Peyton Hayes and Peyton Young also had key hits in the win.

Diamondbacks 9, White Sox 8
Johnathon Mingle was 3-for-3 with a double and two runs scored, Tyler Moore was 2-for-3 and Nicholas Morton added two hits for the Diamondbacks. Michael Whitten hit a two-run home run and was 3-for-3 for the White Sox, who also had two hits each from Tim Cooper, Braley Gentry and Cameron Brandon.

Giants 7, Dodgers 6
Preston Emore was 4-for-4 with a triple, Nick Wolf was 3-for-3, and Ryan Medlock was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI to lead the Giants. Chris DiVincenzo, Branson Boone, Andrew Miller and Maurice Derrick had doubles for the Dodgers.

Royals 13, Red Sox 11
Brandon Abrams was 4-for-4 with a triple, double and two runs scored, and Jonathan Smith was 3-for-4 with three runs scored to lead the Royals. Chase Scott also had two hits for the Royals. Dillon Lynch had three hits, including a double, Dawson Petty was 2-for-3 and Jacob Trammell was 2-for-3 with a home run for the Red Sox.

Mets 6, Braves 5
Travis Odem and Ben Panak had two hits each and Tyler Vincent added a triple to lead the Mets past the Braves. The Mets scored two in the bottom of the last inning to avoid the loss. Daniel Bradford, Noah Aaron and David Larson each had a double for the Braves.

Yankees 13, Orioles 5
J.C. Hawkins pitched five strong innings and was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI, and Michael Gray was 4-for-4 with two doubles and three runs scored as the Yankees dealt the Orioles their first loss. Dalton Tracy also had two hits for the Yankees. Austin Davenport and Drew Matthews each had two hits for the Orioles.

Dodgers 7, Diamondbacks 0
Brandon Green was 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored and Matthew Sells added a double to lead the Dodgers. Jakob Hurts doubled and Jonathan Mingle reached base twice for the Diamondbacks.

Orioles 11, Red Sox 2
Austin Davenport pitched a complete-game, two-hitter, struck out 11 and did not walk a batter to lead the Orioles. Eric Hawks, Peyton Hayes, Elijah Montgomery and Drew Matthews all had multi-hit games for the Orioles. Austin Aaron, Taylor Wheat and Dillon Lynch led the Red Sox.

JUNIORS (13-15 year-olds)
Dodgers 4, Reds 3
The Dodgers broke a 1-1 tie with a three-run fifth and held off the Reds 4-3 in an early-season battle of unbeatens. Austin Loomis was 2-for-2 with a walk, and he, Drew Gossett, Jared Anderson had consecutive singles to plate the three Dodger runs in the fifth. Josh Loomis and Benjamin Carter also had key hits for the Dodgers. Keegan Foge and Peyton Nightingale had two hits each for the Reds.

Dodgers 8, Cardinals 6
Jared Anderson and Drew Gossett each reached twice and scored to lead the Dodgers. Austin Loomis had two hits for the Dodgers. CJ Newby had a triple and drove in two runs and Dalton Opial reached twice to lead the Cardinals.

Rangers 5, Red Sox 2
Ethan Bugg was 3-for-3 and Damon Bigsby reached twice to lead the Rangers. Zach Hofbauer, Marshall Cooper and Austin Alexander led the Red Sox.

Royals 8, Yankees 7
Ben Weisel was 2-for-2 and Nick Paschall singled in two runs to lead the Royals, who also had a double from Matt Menda and a key hit from Tank Sims. Adam Trigg and John Ralston each had two hits for the Yankees.

Rangers 5, Cardinals 4
Samuel Bates was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI, and Tanner Patrick and Casey Dibble each supplied extra-base hits as the Rangers upset the Cardinals. Dalton Bargatze led the Cardinals with two hits and Dalton Opial added a double.

Dodgers 17, Yankees 4
Jared Anderson was 2-for-2 with three walks and Drew Gossett added a pair of doubles as the Dodgers turned back the Yankees. Austin Loomis and Ethan Sales had two hits each for the Dodgers. Patrick Cardell led the Yankees with two hits and Grant Troutt, Ross Skipper and Nathan Carothers each had one.

Royals 9, Red Sox 8
Nick Paschall had three hits, including a triple and a double, and Ben Weisel, Brycin Golden and Sam Hawkins had run-producing hits to lead the Royals. Austin Alexander had a pair of doubles, Jonah Walden doubled and Marshall Cooper was 2-for-2 with  two singles and a pair of walks for the Red Sox.

Reds 12, Rangers 3
Five Reds had multi-hit games, including a 2-for-3 performance from Malek Holman that included a double and triple to lead the Reds. Keegan Foge was 2-for-2, Nate Richardson had two hits, including a double, Brandon Thomson was 3-for-4 and Logan Crabtree was 2-for-2 for the Reds. Noah Meador and Alex Post led the Rangers.

COACH-PITCH (7-8 year-olds)
Red Sox 22, Diamondbacks 9
Eli McFarland, Caleb Marks, Jacob Crabill, Sawyer Watts and Ethan Ridgley each had two hits to lead the Red Sox. Crabill, Watts and Ridgley all had doubles. Dalton Lynch, Denton Lynch and Mathew Fleischman each had two hits for the Diamondbacks, who also had a home run from Noah Blockley.

Reds 21, Cardinals 9
Ethan Leeke was 4-for-4 with two home runs and a double, and Jackson Phillips was 4-for-4 with a double to lead the Reds. Jaren Bussell, Jack Romberg, Devarious Robinson and Isaiah Dickerson each had three hits for the Reds. Austin Watson had two home runs and Tommy Nance added another for the Cardinals, who also had two-hit performances from Wes Tidwell and Carson Shaw.

Yankees 12, Tigers 11
Everett Walker, Garrett Chumley and Baylor Woods each scored three runs to pace the Yankees to a thrilling win against the Tigers. Ethan Barnes, Zachary Bloom and Michael Barnum each scored two runs for the Tigers.

White Sox 13, Mariners 3
Hayden Chambless was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and Justin Ritter was 2-for-3 with two runs scored to lead the White Sox. Ezra Montgomery and Jamey Dennis also had run-producing hits for the White Sox. Sam Nave and Henry Wolfe led the Mariners with two hits each.

Dodgers 15, Tigers 13
Max McMurry, Bailey Jones, Evan Fouss, Kimball Pike, Kohl Nesbitt and Conner McWhorter each scored two runs to pace the Dodgers. Justin Bradford scored three times and Gareth Davidson, Ethan Branes and Russell Seigler scored twice each for the Tigers.

White Sox 9, Orioles 4
Haydeen Chambless hit a home run and had two hits, and Braden Hopkins, Logan Blanton, Justin Ritter, Brady Sengkhounmany and Ezra Montgomery all had multi-hit games for the White Sox. Christian D’Oliveira, Graham Keating and Eddie Willis each had multi-hit games for the Orioles.

Red Sox 16, Mariners 9
Luke McFarland hit a home run and had two hits and two runs scored, Eli McFarland was 4-for-4, and Tripp Knitter, Brooks McAtee had three hits each to pace the Red Sox. Henry Wolfe hit a home run and had a double for the Mariners, who also had three hits from Rashaad Garett and Hayden Tuggle.

Reds 19, Giants 8
Davarious Robinson was 5-for-5 with three home runs to lead the Reds. Jaren Bussell was 5-for-5, Ethan Leeke was 4-for-4 with a home run, Megan Brewer was 4-for-4 with a home run and Jack Romberg and Isaiah Dickerson had three hits each for the Reds. David Pullias was 4-for-4 to lead the Giants, who also had three hits each from Jacob Bobo, and Trevon Sneed.

Rays 12, Yankees 7
Will Young and Dillon Abrams had three hits each, and Cameron Crutchfield, David Sands, Samuel McIntyre and Braden Jobe each had two hits to lead the Rays. Jax Roddy, Nathan Okey, Carson Stachura and Garrett Chumley had multi-hit games for the Yankees.

Phillies 27, Cardinals 12
Houston Harvill and Tyler Markos had five hits each, and Braden Dozier, Brady Palmer, Victor Stephenson, Brock Rhoton, Jack Harris and Kaitlin Markos each had multi-hit games to lead the Phillies. Carson Shaw, Austin Watson, Noah Maddox, Taylor Melton and Dakota McCurley had multi-hit games for the Cardinals.
