This Little Piggy is coming to town.

The children’s clothing store is tentatively set to open Jan. 25 in the former location of 310 Pipe & Tobacco at 109 E. Main Street just off the Public Square.

New and used clothing will be sold at the store in addition to baby shower gifts and used maternity clothing, said owners Jamie and Ashley Jennings.

This Little Piggy is a dream come true for Ashley who has wanted to own her own business since the age of 10.

The Jennings decided to open the store in downtown Murfreesboro because of its ambiance and charm.

“It has more of a small town feel rather than being a strip mall,” Ashley said.

Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Call the store at 962-8279.

Curves Fitness Center has moved from West College Street to Georgetown Park next door to Bunganut Pig at 1602 W. Northfield Blvd., Suite 300.

Curves Fitness Center, which offers a fitness and nutrition solution just for women, reopened in its new location in December, said owner Tracy Singel.

“This is a great location,” she said. “In a way we moved up. It is a wonderful neighborhood.”

An open house is slated for Feb. 15-16.

Singel, a certified personal trainer, originally opened the Curves Fitness Center in 1999.

The Curves 30-minute workout exercises every major muscle group and burns up to 500 calories through a proven program of strength training, cardio and stretching.

Enhancing the Curves workout is CurvesSmart, a personal coaching system. CurvesSmart individualizes and customizes each workout by monitoring heart rate, workout intensity, range of motion and repetitions and then providing a progress report including number of calories burned.

Curves also provides a nutritional component, Curves Complete. This online subscription program is a nutritional and diet resource that offers personalized meal plans, recipes and expert advice to members and non-members.
