A Paul Mitchell School, which offers training in cosmetology-related sciences including hair, skin and nails, is set to open at Stones River Mall Jan. 25.

Haircuts will be available to the public beginning the first week of February, said Dale Jones, a partner in the school, because some students will likely transfer from the Antioch school to the Murfreesboro school.

“It is going to be amazing,” he said of the new school, which is an expansion of the Paul Mitchell School of Nashville.

“Our school here (in Nashville) is quite full and we have quite a few people from the Murfreesboro area that are going to school here or would like to go to school here,” he said in a previous interview.

The Paul Mitchell School of Nashville has been in existence for three years.

“I think right now we are perhaps the largest school in the Middle Tennessee area,” Jones said.

The Murfreesboro school can accommodate about 200 students.

As the Murfreesboro Post previously reported, Murfreesboro was dropped from the running for a Harley-Davidson motorcycle production plant in November.

The plant could have brought some 2,000 jobs to the area.

According to recently published reports, the legendary motorcycle company has decided to keep the plant located in York, Pa. instead of moving it to another location.

The York Daily Record newspaper reported that Harley-Davidson reached a labor agreement with the plant’s workers, but half of the union workers will be cut.

Body Wise Nutrition Center and Marketplace has relocated from Northfield Boulevard in the Georgetown Park shopping center to the Jackson Heights Plaza, confirmed owner Sherry Hall.

Body Wise has been in operation for two and a half years. The store is now located at 810 N.W. Broad St, Suite 234.

“I bought it one year ago with the intention of taking it from being the only physical store in Middle Tennessee for bariatrics to an all around health marketplace serving bariatric patients as well as my next door neighbors by adding a wide range of supplements,” Hall said.

Body Wise offers vitamins and minerals, weight loss products, protein powders and convenience foods, organics, natural foods, diabetes education and nutritional counseling.

Hall said she relocated the store in order to be a better, more visible location.

Also, the move allowed Hall to add yoga and massage to her list of services.

Call the store at 217-9473, or for more information visit www.bodywisenutritioncenter.net.
