A restaurant with a new concept is coming to downtown Murfreesboro.
Three Brothers Deli and Brew House is expected to open at 223 W. Main St. in the former location of Tomato Tomato at the end of October, said owner Eric Fortney.
Three Brothers will feature New York-style deli sandwiches. All of the meat and cheese will be cut in house. The restaurant also will have 20 beers on tap and 100 different types of beer in house.
The restaurant will have a vintage feel, Fortney said. It will be set up like a 1960s Italian deli.
“There is nowhere else in town where you can have food and a variety of beer,” Fortney said of why he decided to open this type of restaurant. “It is fast and easy.
“It is where I want to hang versus the choices I had before,” he said.
Fortney moved to Middle Tennessee 10 years ago after attending culinary school in Pittsburgh, Pa. He finally decided now was the right time to live out his dream and open his own restaurant.
He had wanted to rent the space on West Main Street for three and a half years.
“I snapped on it when the building opened up,” he said. “I like the atmosphere of the downtown square.”

A Marco’s Pizza franchise is expected to open in Murfreesboro in November, said co-owner Tim Brown.
According to the company Web site, Marco’s Pizza is “committed to making authentic Italian pizza with fresh ingredients.”
The dough is made fresh daily and in the store. The restaurant still uses a blend of fresh mozzarella, provolone and muenster cheeses.
“It is a phenomenal pizza,” Brown said.
The menu also includes sub sandwiches and chicken wings.
The restaurant will be located at 1208 E. Northfield Blvd., next door to Family Video. It will offer delivery, carry out and a small dining area.
Store hours will be Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m.-midnight, Friday-Saturday 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Call the store at 895-9755.
Marco's Pizza operates stores in 17 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.
Brown said 25-30 Marco’s Pizza locations would be opening in the Nashville market within the next seven years.
