Murfreesboro is now home to a specialty coffee roaster, but there is something different about this recently formed business.
It has heart.
Just Love Coffee Roasters is a 100 percent fair trade coffee roaster. Direct sales from the company go to help Kids Care Orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
It’s the orphanage that became near and dear to company founder Rob Webb’s heart because that is where he and his wife Emily adopted two girls. Webb also is president of Webb’s Refreshments.
What’s unique about Just Love Coffee Roasters is that any adoptive family, benevolent organization, church, foster parents and adoption agency can host their own customizable Just Love online store where they can upload an image and a title for their store.
All of the Just Love products are available for sale, and the families and organizations receive $5 per bag of coffee and T-shirt sold, $3 per tote bag, hat and travel mug and $1 per coffee scoop.
Just Love Coffee Roasters handles the entire order fulfillment process from roasting the coffees to order to packaging, shipping and customer service. All the families and organizations have to do is advertise the link to their store. Checks are sent once a month to the families and organizations. There also is a program for schools to have their own fundraising storefronts. The only difference in the school program is that 20 percent of the proceeds go to help Kids Care Orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Currently there are eight coffee offerings: EthiopianYirgacheffe, Rwandan, Guatemalan, Sumatran, Café Mexico, Swiss Water Decaf, African Skies (a blended coffee) and Selam Tsehai (Hello Sunshine), another blended coffee.
Each is roasted to bring out each bean’s unique characteristics.
Webb is very careful to roast the bean according to its organic makeup and not over-roasting.
“I want the consumer to taste the incredible qualities of the coffee beans, not the roast,” he said.
Local residents can now get the freshest coffee available in Murfreesboro for their home by purchasing coffee roasted to order at Just Love Coffee Roasters located at 149 MTCS Drive.
Businesses can have Just Love Coffees delivered exclusively by Webb’s Refreshments by calling 615-893-2749.
Anyone can buy Just Love Coffee freshly brewed at the Soda Shop in Reeves-Sain Drugstore. Bags of Just Love Coffee are available at the store as well.

The Emporium, Murfreesboro’s newest nightclub, is now open at 302 W. Main Street at the intersection with Walnut Street in the former location of Main Street Marketplace and Oxygen.
Its grand opening was celebrated Nov. 5.
The venue has three sections designed to have something for every generation, said co-owner Joshua Cardin.
The front of the venue is a restaurant/sports bar called The Classic Dog of Murfreesboro, which features Chicago-style hotdogs, Italian beef and sandwiches. The bar has LCD televisions showing at least six different sporting events and a billiard room.
Splash, a dance club playing Top 40 music and videos on LCD screens, is located on the right side of the venue. The club has the capacity for about 700 people. The back of the venue is The Grove Shack, which features music from the ‘60s, through the ‘90s.
