A new women’s clothing boutique is about to open on the Public Square.

Judy Goldie, owner of Phase 2 and Trendy Pieces, is set to open Bella’s Boutique on Friday, Aug. 6.

Bella’s Boutique, next door to Trendy Pieces on South Church Street, will sell contemporary women’s clothing aimed towards women 30 years and older, “women like myself who want to be trendy but more age appropriate,” she said.

Customers should expect to see the same trendy style as seen in Trendy Pieces, which is geared for young men and women.

But at Bella’s skirt lengths and shirtsleeves will be longer and pant waists will be higher. The clothes, in general, will have a fuller fit.

“This store is going to be about really cute but comfortable (clothes),” Goldie said.

The fun doesn’t stop with clothes. Bella’s also will carry cute and comfortable shoes and boots, jewelry and handbags.

Goldie said she decided to open another store because she loves the Public Square. And, she knew there is a demand for more options for contemporary clothes for women.

“I think giving people more selection will bring even more people to the Square.”

As she prepares to open her new store, Goldie said she is “super excited. I think it is going to be a lot of fun. I think our customers are going to really love what we are doing.”

Goldie has owned and operated Trendy Pieces for two years and Phase 2 for 22 years.

Pawbowsky’s continues to grow throughout Murfreesboro.

A few months ago a new location of the doghouse opened at 2445 Memorial Blvd., near Kroger.

Just days ago another new location opened at the corner of Southeast Broad Street and Church Street near Coach’s Grill, said owner John Duchene.

“We did that so we could give people a bigger place so they don’t have as much wait time. We can sit 100 people now.”

That location will soon begin offering live entertainment in the evenings, pool tables and other entertainment.

And, the company also recently took over Around the Way Dog on East Main Street near Slick Pig BBQ — renaming it The Dog House.

The restaurant will continue to use the same menu unless it turns out not to be popular, Duchene said.

The original Pawbowsky’s restaurant on South Church Street, next door to Food Lion, also recently closed.

“We just outgrew it,” Duchene said, adding that lunch was so crowded they couldn’t serve everyone in an adequate amount of time.
