Anastasia’s Attic is closing its doors Saturday, Feb. 13, after 14 years.
Owner Lona Dunn blamed the economy for the closure of the store.
“We have just been here for 14 years and with things going the way they are with the economy, we thought it was a good time to call it quits,” she said.
“The kind of items in our store are not necessities, when people cut back they cut back on luxury items,” Dunn added.
Dunn said closing the store was a hard decision to make, but it was the right one. Everything in the store is on sale.
The store is located at 115 N. Maple St. on the Public Square.
Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Call the store at 890-6551.

The former Floorz building in front of The Oaks Shopping Center is being redeveloped for retail and medical users by Baker Storey McDonald Properties.
Construction is expected to start in late spring, said Charles Warner, of Baker Storey McDonald Properties.
Plans are still awaiting final approval from the city of Murfreesboro.
The Vitamin Shoppe has leased 3,500 square feet in the building.
“We have 5,200 square feet of space adjacent to the Vitamin Shoppe and are actively marketing the space to new tenants wanting superior exposure and visibility on Thompson Lane and the increasingly busy Medical Center area of Murfreesboro,” Warner said.
The Vitamin Shoppe space should be ready for build out by Aug. 1, he said. The store should open in late 2010.
The total cost of the project is $2.5 million.
