Tennessee National Guard motorcycle ride set for Saturday

NASHVILLE – Motorcycle riders from Tennessee’s Army and Air National Guard will converge on Smyrna Saturday, June 26, for a daylong “National Guard Motorcycle Safety Ride for Flood Relief.”

The event is also open to all motorcyclists.

Riders will report Saturday at 8 a.m. to Building 250 at the National Guard Volunteer Training Site in Smyrna for registration and briefing. Motorcycles will be “wheels rolling” at 9 a.m. and the ride will conclude at that same location at approximately 4 p.m.

The group will travel from Smyrna south with a stopover at Lynchburg. From there they will ride across to Monteagle before returning to Smyrna.

Barbeque with trimmings will be available starting at noon at Building 250 where there will also be military equipment on display.

The public is invited to come out and join in the festivities and also welcome the riders upon their return at approximately 4 p.m.
