Three suspects accused of severely beating an elderly Eagleville couple were indicted on multiple charges during the March term of the grand jury.
Suspects Ronald W. Damon, 36, of West Main Street, James Pittard, 20, of McMinnville and Ashton Garza, 19, of Constantine Drive in Rockvale were charged with attacking Cecil Story, 86, and his wife, Edna, 93, Dec. 27 in their Floyd Road home.
In his arrest warrant, sheriff’s Detective Steve Kohler reported the Storys suffered severe lacerations and numerous broken bones when the three men allegedly bound them with ropes, assaulted them and robbed him of his wallet, an undetermined amount of cash and his overalls.
The three suspects were charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated kidnapping, especially aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery and especially aggravated kidnapping (two counts). Damon was charged with falsifying a drug screen and possession of marijuana while Garza was charged with felonious possession of marijuana.
They will receive copies of their indictments March 15 in Circuit Court.
