Five men have been arrested in a home invasion and attempted homicide in the early morning hours Tuesday in Murfreesboro.

Quintesheo Jujuan Woods, 18, of Murfreesboro, Elias Jaylon Smith, 18, of Murfreesboro, Keiron Davon Nelson, 21, of Murfreesboro, Julian Lazell Corlew, 20, of Mt. Juliet, and Jemarcus Lavell Canty, 19, of Columbia, were arrested in connection with the aggravated burglary, aggravated kidnapping and attempted murder of Chaquita Radley.

Multiple assailants gained entry to Radley's residencewhile she was sleeping and grabbed her out of her bed.

Radley told officers that the subjects began to beat her on the back of her head while she attempted to protect herself with her arms.

She reportedly heard one of the attackers say they were going to kill her before a shot was fired that struck Radley in the right forearm.

The assailants fled the residence, firing at least one more shot. Radley ran to 1623 Huntington Drive where she was discovered by police and transported to the ER for treatment.

The suspects were arrested shortly after the assault at 3 a.m. Tuesday on Patriot Drive.

Bond has been set at $34,500 each and they are set to appear in court Sept. 21.

5 more slugs added to the list that we taxpayers must provide free food, cable tv, health care, dentistry, etc. Might as well incarcerate the "parents" too 'cause its 90% their fault.

Why should we put the fault off on the parent's? After children become adults stupid things they do are no longer the parent's fault

rndrnd. Ignorance is bliss upon your part. First of all Rutherdord co. Jail doesn't provide cable! And what should we do with criminals? Throw them to the wolves? Let them starve? Let them get sick and die? Sound good? Oh how about Fire all the fine policeman that protect our streets so the killers can run free, beat people up, and sell drugs to our next generation! Is that what you suggest? Yes, I have been locked up but I changed my life. And the "slugs" you are talking about need to be off the streets! If you have better idea's, GREAT, first do your research before you comment! I welcome you to VOTE and goto your local government meetings on what to do with "slugs", and what "YOUR" taxes go toward.

Thank you so much creamoftheshopCEO, I wish that people would think before they post. I too have had family members locked up and they will tell you there isn't any cable in jail.
Like you they changed their life. And also they will tell you real fast it wasn't their parent's fault they acted stupid, they have no one to blame but their self, because their parent's didn't make them do the stupid things they did.
So rndnrnd if you have children sit back and wait your turn and when it comes knocking on your door because your child did something wrong,we'll be sure to put the blame off on you also and have them lock you up too!!

But let's be honest, folks...The parenting probably wasn't stellar with these guys...

Oh let me add some things.. Have you people seen the bond amount? $34,500! Ok here are the charges again:aggravated burglary, aggravated kidnapping and attempted murder!
$34,500! I have seen higer bonds amounts for possession! What a message to send for you folks that don't know it cost %10 of total bond amount plus a few bucks for state charges. Lets review this. For $3,400 and some change I can risk the chance of killing you, taking everything you own, and terrorise you leaving you scared for life for $3400 and some change.. See anything wrong with this picture? Now that young lady will have to look over her shoulder for NOT 1 or even 2 idiots but 5 idiots and there idiot friends. What a shame the Rutherford Co. Justice system is. Now the court hearings could go on for 5 years on these types of charges. And with charges like these what do they have to lose? For $3400 These weak, weak, weak young men will do it again. 5 men to 1 young lady. I laugh at these punks. And as far as the parenting part, maybe they were idiots as well. Or just didn't care what was going on in there childs life. That I will not comment on because I do not know the situation. But once those kids are out that front door, the parents lose control. I've seen and we all have the best of society such as presidents, dr's, lawyers, even preachers kids have gotten in trouble for there OWN actions. Thanks again..

OH and to sum this all up.. Let me make this concrete post..
Oh and one more comment on the subjects. It took FIVE of these young ingnorant human beings, to rob, assault, and attempt to kill this young lady. I could think of better actions to take care of these folks, but it wouldn't be right. We can't give up on the young generation by throwing away the key. People has been locked up and became very successful people in our society. After the research I have done on the Co. jail system with several reliable resources. They do no offer but a slim pickings of programs to help turn around us wrong doers. They offer programs, That look nice on paper, but very few qualify, for the offenders that hasnt had a chance for help they still turn them down. I understand there's a small % of folks that the programs help. But them more wrong doers you give a chance to the higher the % will grow. IF YOU HAVE THE RESOURCES TO HELP THE LOST, THEN JUDGES USE THEM FOR THE ONES THAT WILL TAKE THE STEPS TO PROVE IT. But it comes down to the economy, the revenue the criminals they bring in is estounding and they very much rely on the repeaters. Charging HUGE amounts of fines and giving NO chances. If you look the wrong direction in the CO. you get arrested, violated, fined, and jailed. I do understand that we, including myself, shouldn't be law breakers and there should be consequences of breaking the law. But give us the resources to take advantage of that you are suppose to be providing to help not only us but the society as a whole! Sometimes we don't know where to turn or even who to ask. So trouble answers it for us. That's where part OUR TAX dollars are suppose to be filtered in. Programs and assistance. Help us help ourselves, some of us have deeper roots of actions than just being trouble makers. Just throwing a judgement, putting a jump suit, and shackles on criminals is not enough. If any at all. TO MANY REPEAT OFFENDERS in the system today. And that's the way they like it. Now back on the subject of probation, just another way for the city to bring revenue. The big percentage of the criminals today don't have alot of money but have kids, electric bills, child support, car payments, food costs, etc. But charge a huge weekly cost just to be on probation. On top of the fines that comes with that. Now that's a turnkey program that helps. But who? The cities overpaid underworked officials. Nashville for example has great re-entry to society programs. I know the slate is a little deeper than this and there is two sides to the judges bench. But there can be made a compromise to what resources are readily available. Now us "convicts" know what inconvienences that we face when we commit a "crime". And I have heard the complaining and whining, but that's the game. Now in my case I don't complain because I know I'm in the wrong. But luckily there are programs that I could take advantage of but was refused. So I am living proof I am a perfect canidate for a program that's offered but won't be granted access to. So just put me in a concrete building with NO access to gain somewhat an education for self help so I could possibly help others and be a gain to society. And with that creates a ladder effect such as helping my own family in the long run with the right way of living, not perfect by any means, but at least the right path. I understand everyone has a sad story, but everyone should have a chance to prove there focus. Yes make the programs difficult to complete, and only one chance to prove ourselves. But at least give us a chance. Don't waste the tax payers money that goes into these programs to collect dust, as the jail system collects more and repeated criminals.
