Suspect indicted for trying to kill three Murfreesboro Police officers

Grand jurors indicted a defendant this month for attempted murder of three Murfreesboro Police officers. Defendant Ralph Terry King, 47, of Brinkley Road was charged with firing one round from a rifle at Officer Trevor Young in February when officers responded to a call of an intoxicated woman threatening to shoot someone at F&B Trailer Park. When Officers Young, Travis Henderson and Detective Richard Presley arrived, King allegedly opened the door and fired one round. The round just missed Young’s head, Detective Ed Gorham reported. King was also indicted for three counts of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, possession of marijuana and possession of a weapon while in commission of a felony. Another attempted murder case charged Laquesia B. London, 22, of Nashville, with shooting Tiffany Eno in the leg when she leaned over to pick up her 2-year-old child Oct. 3, Murfreesboro Detective Mike Taylor reported. In an unrelated case, defendant Mark L. Haynes, 48, of 8757 Bradyville Pike was indicted on four counts of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment with a weapon. Sheriff’s Deputy Pat Garrett accused Haynes of threatening him, Kenny Smith, Eddy Burns and Cavissa Cooper during a domestic situation at his home. Haynes barricaded himself in his home. In a robbery case, Jule A. Hall Jr., 30, of 319 S. Highland Ave. was indicted for aggravated robbery, theft and criminal impersonation. He was accused of robbing victim Keith Fuller Nov. 29 of $260 cash. Another robbery indictment charged Concetta D. Long, 21, and Daniel Walton, 22, both of La Vergne, with aggravated robbery of Discount Tobacco and La Vergne Super Cheap Jan. 24 in La Verge, reported La Vergne Cpl. Jerri Lynn Champion. In an unrelated case, defendant Wendell R. Rogers Jr., 31, of Kings Road in Smyrna was indicted for aggravated assault, especially aggravated burglary and especially aggravated robbery. In his arrest warrant, Smyrna Police Officer Luke Naylor reported Rogers allegedly demanded money from victim Harlon Webb and struck him with a baseball bat, fracturing his right hand and injuring his back and leg June 7. In a domestic case, defendant William Paul Connell Jr., 31, of 350 Tremont Drive, was charged with aggravated domestic assault and especially aggravated kidnapping. In an arrest warrant, Murfreesboro Police Officer Dave Norton accused Connell of putting victim Shea Stobaugh in a chokehold and threatening her with a steak knife while he kept her from leaving for five hours. Defendants will receive copies of their indictments at 9 a.m. Monday from Circuit Court Judge Don Ash on the fourth floor of the Judicial Building. Kareem Omar Bryant, resisting arrest. Dwayne T. Carr, aggravated burglary, theft. Daniel B. Davis, possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for the sale of drugs. Jennifer R. Davis, aggravated burglary, theft, possession of legend drugs without a prescription. Marcus Davis, theft, filing a false report. Raquel Nicole Evans, vandalism over $1,000. Steven L. Fountain, theft, forgery (four counts). Steven Gatlin, DUI (second offense). Jorge Granada, domestic assault. Dainian Maynard Helsom, forgery. Davone Jamal Jackson, domestic assault. Nathan E.
