Mrs. Unthank was born in Belleville, IL. She was a member of River of Life Church and was the Editor And Chief of AbsolutelyGospel.com (formerly SoGospelNews.com).

Mrs. Unthank was preceded in death by her mother, Rhoda Favre. She is survived by her husband, Deon Unthank; children, Aaron (Tia) Unthank of Jacksonville, FL; Leslie Hill of Branson, MO; Scott Bandy of Murfreesboro; Amy Unthank of Murfreesboro; Chris Unthank of Murfreesboro; 5 grandchildren; father, Kenneth Favre of O’Fallon, IL; sister, Jan (John) Meehan of Belleville, IL; and brother, Keith Favre of Belleville, IL.

There will be a memorial service in honor of Susan's life on Monday, January 10, 2011 at River of Life Church (596 Sam Ridley Pkwy) in Smyrna at 7 p.m. The Unthank family will be accepting friends and family at 6 p.m. on Monday at the church.
