Summer Youth Sports Camp at MTSU’s Campus Recreation begins next week and runs weekly through July 31 for boys and girls age 7-13.
A variety of sport, leisure and fitness activities are taught. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day but drop off begins at 7:30 a.m. and pick up extends until 5:30 p.m. Tuition for each weekly session is $150 and includes a healthy lunch from MT Dining Services. Discounts are available for multiple family members and/or multiple sessions.
The registration deadline for next week’s session (session 1) is noon Friday. Payment in full must accompany these registrations. A $25 nonrefundable deposit for sessions 2-9 will hold a spot for your camper but is applied to the total cost of the camp. • Get the teens into the great outdoors by having them participate in Youth Adventure Camp June 8-12. Campers should be 14-17 years old. Camp begins each day at 9 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. Cost for this session is $175 each person. Lunch is not provided, and campers are asked to bring a sack lunch, snacks and water bottles. Most activities are held off campus and include: rock climbing, caving, canoeing, kayaking and white water rafting. Discounts are available for multiple family members. The deadline for next week’s session is Thursday noon. • Swim lessons for all levels are held in two week sessions. The next available session is June 8-19. Costs for these classes vary, so check the web site or call for more details.
