Sue A. Reed, age 95, of Smyrna, passed away on December 16, 2009 at Northside Health Care. She was a native of White County, TN but resided in Smyrna. She was a member of Riverdale Church of Christ. In the 1940s she owned Sue & Willie's Café in Murfreesboro and later owned and operated Reed Motel in Nashville, TN.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Maggie Anderson; husband, Ben Reed; sisters, Myrtle Anderson Prater and Willie Rawlins; brothers, Virble Anderson, Jesse Anderson and Sam General Anderson. She is survived by brothers, Joe Anderson of Cookeville and T.J. (Martha) Anderson of Murfreesboro; sister, Bonnie McKnight of Murfreesboro; Nieces and nephews, Jesse Thomas (Peggy) Anderson of Cookeville, Betty Weaver of Donelson, Suzanne Anderson, Debbie (Tim) Cheek, Jay (Debra) Anderson, Kay (Jimmy) Jackson all of Murfreesboro and Wanda (Gary) Brock of Franklin.
Graveside service for Sue will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2009 at Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
