Extraordinary is a good description for the Stones River Craft Association’s Studio Tour, celebrating its 18th year in Rutherford County.

From Friday through Sunday, the owner-artists of six studios and galleries, along with invited guest artists, will be open and free to the public for demonstrations and shopping.

In total, 24 artists will be on hand to display and educate the public about the process and history of their individual craft, while showcasing their unique artistic talent.

The Studio Tour showcases locally created items and Tennessee-produced, professional works of art that display some of the finest craftsmanship in the region.

Functional and decorative pieces in many forms for use indoors and outdoors will be available, and the processes for creating jewelry, pottery, sculpture, stained glass and wood will be among the work available at each of the participating studios.

The Studio Tour will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

This year stops include Alan Daigre Designs, Brown View Forge, Popcorn Studio Pottery, Ramsey Hall Studio, and Studio S Pottery & Galleries, Norris Hall Studio.
