Extraordinary is a good description for the Stones River Craft Association’s “Studio Tour,” celebrating its 16th year in Murfreesboro and Rutherford County.
On Saturday, Nov. 21 and Sunday, Nov. 22 the owner-artists of nine studios and galleries along with invited guest artists will be open and free to the public for demonstrations and shopping.
In total, approximately 30 artists will be on hand to display and educate the public about the process and history of their individual craft while showcasing their unique artistic talent.
The “Studio Tour” showcases local and Tennessee produced, professional works of art that display some of the finest craftsmanship in our region. Functional and decorative pieces in many forms for use indoors and out will be available and the processes for creating jewelry, pottery, sculpture, stained glass and wood will be among the work available at each of the participating studios.
“Studio Tour” hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. This year stops include: Alan Daigre Designs, Brown View Forge, Juliano Studio, Norris Hall Studio, Popcorn Studio Pottery, Ramsey Hall Studio, Southern Stained Glass, Studio J and Studio S Pottery & Galleries.
