The search for the next director of Murfreesboro City Schools continues with the latest list of potential candidates.

Nineteen hopefuls from across the nation have submitted their resumes for the post, vacated by Marilyn Mathis in October.

Locals Linda Gilbert, MTSU education professor, and Catherine Stephens, Scales Elementary principal , have thrown their hats into the ring, along with Tennessee Department of Education Commissioner Timothy Webb and education activist Andy Spears.
